Welcome to Deene Park

Deene is a largely sixteenth-century house incorporating a medieval manor. It is built around a courtyard and has important rooms added during the reign of George 111. Deene has belonged to the Brudenell family since 1514 and was the seat of the Earls of Cardigan, of whom the most notable was the 7th who led the charge of the Light Brigade at Balaklava in 1854.

This Historic House is now the home of Mr. Edmund and the Hon. Mrs. Brudenell, and the rooms shown to the public are regularly used by the family and friends. There is a large and interesting collection of family portraits and possessions, including uniforms and memorabilia of the Crimean War.

There is also a large park where visitors may picnic beside the lake before exploring the gardens and the house.

Both the house and grounds are available for hire on an exclusive basis, making it a perfect setting for private luncheons, dinners, weddings, product launches, business meetings, receptions, corporate hospitality, TV and film location and outdoor events. The grounds are ideal for larger events using marquees, with ample car parking.

The resident staff can provide a wide range of meals from finger buffets and light salad lunches to four course dinners, realistically priced.
